What to Wear (and not wear) for your Passport Photo Session
According to the U.S. Department of State one of the first recommendations is to wear clothing that you’d wear on a normal day to day basis.
We also recommend not wearing a white colored blouse or shirt unless there is a darker jacket or outer layer as we’ll be conducting the session on a white studio background; something you’re comfortable in with some color.
There are also a few requirements from the State Department regarding what you cannot wear, so for your Denver passport photo session there can be:
- No Glasses
- No Hat or Head Covering (unless it is worn for a religious purpose, in which case you’ll need to submit a signed statement that verifies the hat or head covering is for religious purposes or have a signed doctor’s note if it is for medical purposes).
- No headsets or wireless hands-free devices
- No uniforms, clothing that is similar to a uniform, or camouflage attire
The session together will be fun, quick, and simple. As long as your face and head are clear and you’re wearing something you’re comfortable with – we’ll be able to capture a terrific passport photo together.
